I find the more decor I see, the more I am drawn to it all. I found this home in PA and thought it looked mighty inviting. An artist uses her inspiration for art by observing her garden. Nice work!

NEW COLORS NEW IDEAS

I love design. I mean when you look at the vast array of colors and use of furnishings you can't help but be inspired. I found in all of these designs there was that POP factor. What I love is that no longer is there a need to use dark bold color on the walls, but instead add a dramatic choice of fabric or carpeting/rugs. The lighting has really come a long way in design. I love that we're back to elegance. In kitchen design we've created such an inviting extra room to our use of space. We get to enjoy the family or friends as all interact in the kitchen/den concept. Don't even get me started on the baths...a spa for relaxation. I can honestly say there are times one can just lie in bed and enjoy all that the age of technology has to offer right at your fingertips...and in your cosy PJ's and those over 400 count sheets, down comforters and pillows. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

What I've learned about art is that it takes on many avenues of creative creations. We forget about so many talented musicians and much like the masters of art we lose them to the financial struggles of daily living. Occasionally, I will find a artist who deserves some attention. Today it is Paul Renna. Based out of Austin, Texas. Give him a look see and enjoy. Paul is a visionary singer/songwriter whose influences from James Taylor, Lenny Kravitz, and Ben Harper can be heard in his sweet, funky soulful sound. SPRING LETS GET OUT AND ENJOY

Let's face it winter just did us in. We had more snowfall and bad weather than many could remember. Yes, the skiing was great. The warm cocktails, friends by the fireplace was a great time. It's time for the sweaters, scarfs, boots, gloves to come off. Open the doors let the sun shine in. Spring is for cookouts, late night swims, candle light with a refreshing cocktail. Ahh, hello Spring.

So slip on a nice Spring printed floral or geometric and welcome Spring 2010. It's okay to perhaps even do this say...in another country on holiday. Ah, I can see the flowers now.
